"For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by..." (Psalm 90:4 & 2 Peter 3:8). Genesis 1:1-2:3 says that God created all that exists in 6 days and rested on the 7th day. Bible scholars believe there were 2000 years (2 days in God's time), from Adam to Abraham, 2000 years from Abraham to Jesus Christ and now there have been over 2000 years since the birth of Christ.
Think of the time scale being: one day's development of a human embryo is similar to 1000 year's development of the universe. That is a time scale of one to 365,000. So, think of the whole universe being in a similar stage of development to that of a human embryo entering the 14th day after conception.
A human embryo entering the 14th day after conception bears very little resemblance to the baby that will be born about 8.5 months later. See the visible embryo.
We need to keep an open mind. There maybe a valid argument that the universe is at a level of development less than the 14th day after conception. Perhaps the the birth of Adam is a determining factor. So maybe the universe is at a level of development similar to a human embryo entering the 7th day or the 12th day after conception. There is a good chance our offspring will know well before the 1000 year New Era is over!
