Day of Rest: A Time to Concentrate on God's Word?

If the New Era is a "Day of Rest" (about 1000 years of peace - see Revelation 20:1-6), what will be happening during this period?  If Satan is bound, we will not be at war with Satan.  Perhaps it will be somewhat like the times of peace in Joshua 14:15; Judges 3:11, 3:30, 5:31; and, 2 Chronicles 14:6.

Will human beings concentrate on "Building the Body of Christ" during this time?*

Will human beings also concentrate on following God's word to "...Be fruitful and increase in number..." (Genesis 1:28) during this time?**

How about concentrating on God's word to "subdue" the earth?  Perhaps more accurately translated the universe.  Subdue means to overcome or control by persuasion or training.  Which involves research, study and experimentation.  Then the wisdom to apply the knowledge in a practical, loving manner.

We probably don't need a lot of encouragement to "...Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground." (Genesis 1:28).  But we may need encouragement to concentrate on God's word in Genesis 2:15 to work in and take care of God's creation.  We are all in this together - what one person does has some affect on everyone else.

Today it is very controversial, but some people may also follow Genesis 1:29 - it maybe especially important when living in a space station.

Is it possible that Genesis 6:3 will be reversed during the new era?  Note the lifespan before the flood.

The Bible seems to be quite clear that the 1000 years of Revelation 20 is a New Era after the Christian Era.  This passage comes after all the tribulations listed in the Book of Revelation before chapter 20, but we can not be certain that the events listed in Revelation are in chronological order - although there is little, if any, reason to believe otherwise at this time.

**If the population increases by a little over 3 times every 40 years, there could be a trillion people (that's a 1 with 12 zeros) at the end of a 1000 years for every person at the beginning of the 1000 years!  With that kind of growth and with the physical dimensions described in Revelation chapter 21, in about 400 years the New Jerusalem may start to become nearly as crowded as some of the larger cities in the world today.  If it were to hold everyone by the end of the 1000 years with a reasonable level of comfort (by today's standards), it may have to expand by at least 144 times in each direction, for a total volume about 3 million times that described in Revelation chapter 21!  Also see: Exploration and Dispersal Throughout the Universe and New Jerusalem: What Is It?
