"He (Jesus Christ) is the image of the invisible God...all things were created by him and for him...so that in everything he might have the supremacy." (1:15, 16, 18). Once we were alienated from God, but now God has reconciled us through Christ by faith - see 1:21-23. "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him." (2:6).
