Hopefully you have now read the first 5 books of the Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.  These are often referred to as the books of the law.  In Jewish worship they are referred to as the Torah or Pentateuch.

Genesis is relatively easy to read, Exodus is a little harder, but Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy tend to cover some of the same material as Exodus.  As a result, the enthusiasm to read further may not be a great as when you first began.  Don't stop now...KEEP ON READING!

If you prefer, go to the New Testament and read the Gospels: Mathew, Mark, Luke and John.  Then come back and read more of the Old Testament.  There are a number of good stories left: Entrance into and settlement of Canaan; rule by common people "called by God" who are referred to as Judges, Samuel, the golden era of David and Solomon, other kings, prophets, exile and return, etc.  Of course we can not forget Psalms, Proverbs, etc.
